President’s Comments: Our last meeting was our AGM, and we elected a new board of directors.  Introduction, and want to thank them for volunteering their time.

President: Dan Lockwood
Vice President: Ed Pearson
Secretary: Trisha Watkinson
Treasurer: Klaus Voss
Directors: Duane Robinson, Dallas England, Margaret Jones, Joanne Nicklas

One of the items discussed at our recent board meeting is our club and its membership. Our club is a branch of the BCHPA; however, all beekeepers are welcome to attend, whether a BCHPA member or not.  There are three membership options:

1. Join BC HPA $60, get BCHPA benefits and be able to vote at meetings

2. Join Kamloops Beekeepers Club for $20, not part of BCHPA or with voting rights

3. Attend meetings or field days for free as a visitor

For this year, we have a number of projects prioritized that we will be reviewing to execute on: revising the website, hosting field day/s, attending bee-focused events ie: seedy Saturday, Beekeeping calendar for  2027, presenting for education requests (schools, clubs), meetings and educational topics, picnic/BBQ.

We will be posting all events on the website and will be communicating via email – if you leave your email on the sign-in sheet, we will add you to the email list.

We have some good things that the club is planning to host this year!
